I order a side of pickles a lot, which sometimes sparks some comments.

Here are some of the sides, and some of the comments. 


I like pickles. I've attempted to make some.

Here's how I did it. 

Boil water to sterilize the canning jar.
Cut tips off of cucumbers.
Combine garlic, red pepper flakes, dill, and black pepper corn.
Add it to your canning jar.
Take the pickles and put them into the jar.
Lay the jar on its side to ensure the spices to get all the pickles.
Tip the jar up.
Pour kosher salt into water as the brine.
